What Is DEP?
DEP is Apple's streamlined deployment framework for organisations. It lets IT teams configure and manage iPad, iPhone, Mac, and Apple TV devices remotely — without needing to physically touch each one. Devices purchased directly from Apple or through authorised resellers and carriers can be enrolled automatically, ready to deploy straight from the box.
At its core, DEP connects your devices to a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, which becomes the control layer for everything from app deployment to security policy enforcement.
